Cocktail Yayoi Kusama
Today I had drinks with Yayoi Kusama! 😉
Not really but I wish I had… hahaha
This is part of one of my series where I create drinks in homage to the great artists and their work.
The previous one is here.
Sinking In
In exactly one month from now, my sister and I will be moving to London to live and study. We lived overseas before: she lived in Denmark (6 months) and Birmingham (1 year) and I lived in Brisbane, Australia for 3 years. And although it’s not a completely new situation for us it can be very overwhelming. Things are kind of sinking in and we realized that we have so many things that will be impossible to do before we leave.
At the same time we are very excited and looking forward to this new journey to start. =D
Boys With Their Toys
We live in a gated community with very strict rules about dogs or other animals on the beach.
But I have to confess that I love when stray dogs come to visit us. As they cannot read the signs (that are everywhere) they just make themselves comfortable and play freely. It’s so good to watch. I wish I could adopt them all and I’ve been told I have a lot of potential to become a “crazy dog lady”. lol
So it was so adorable to watch this dog and 2 other stray dogs running around and playing with some coconuts. That’s what is on his mouth, a coconut not a ball. Even by the silhouette you can see the surfer staring at the dog as they are not allowed here.
I’m so grateful that the dogs don’t understand that they are not welcome. The beach should be public, right? Even for our four legged friends! =D
Rain Dance
As it was Friday and we needed a break, my sister and I went to the beach for a longer photo shoot yesterday. I took a bunch of pictures of her doing her gymnastic poses with the umbrella and we had a lot of fun. But somehow my favorite image turned out to be this one. A simple silhouette against the beautiful colors of the sky.
Also we are going through a severe drought here in Sao Paulo and more dry weather is forecast. So I hope that this pic works as a digital “rain dance” as well…. lol
One can only hope, right? 😉
Moody
I’ve noticed that the treatment I give my pictures are completely related with my mood. If I’m ok and feeling well, I tend to make the colors more saturated or I try to find new tones combinations. But when I’m not feeling that great I just want them to be BW or monochromatic. Felt a bit coo coo after noticing that…. lol
